Until 1992, our only source of income was symbolic membership fees. However, due to expanding services and ensuing expenses, we decided to organize a fund raising event. The famous “Mar Sassine Kermesse” was, thus, born. Every year, on the occasion of Saint Sassine’s feast, our village’s patron saint, on September 13, 14 and 15 and for three consecutive days, families gather around fun activities and lottery surprises to celebrate the day. From a one-time event, the Kermesse has quickly become a tradition and a key attraction in Beit Mery, drawing hundreds of visitors every year, eager to share the spirit of our great town, after the religious celebrations in Saint Sassine church.
